HELP!!2013 Charger!Dash computer went crazy, power steering went out WHILE DRIVING!
Hey guys,
I need a little help with my 2013 Dodge Charger SXT Plus. I was driving yesterday and my car displayed "power saver mode" or something along those lines. I kept driving and the check engine light went on, then air bag light, then the computer started freaking out displaying a bunch of other things. I pulled over immediately and as i was pulling over my power steering went out and I was barely able to accelerate to get into the shopping center. When i parked the screen went white and that was it. After that i had 0 power to anything. not even to pop my trunk or anything. Had to tow it home. any ideas what it could be?
Battery? Alternator?
I read that it could be a recall on the alterntor but i called dodge and they said my vin is not one of them.

After confirming the battery is good you might do a scan. Not sure what the local auto parts stores have for the newer cars but they have a scan tool for the ones that are a bit older and they usually will check it for free or you can borrow it (with a deposit) and take it to the car if you can't get it to run at all. I had an older pickup act up with it running ok one minute then running like crap the next. Turned out to be the computer itself and depending on how many miles it has on it, it may still be under warranty. The Fed makes the manufactures warranty that sort of stuff since it controls all the emissions junk too.
