Can you wire up an early version to run stand alone?

That is can you wire it up yourself fairly simply.

Looks like it has coil on plug.

Don't know what it is doing fuel injection wise.

Thank you.

I think you have to go with a stand alone... AEM, FAST, Holley, in order to make that happen ?????

Thanks Dyno Bob

Here is Wikipedia article on it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Hemi_engine

Does not say anything about fuel injection set up.

Do see in 2009 it gets 'Variable Camshaft'

.
Don't think we want that.

Here is pic of engine.Giving credit to guy who posted it on Wikipedia.

Thank you Dyno Bob

I will say it looks like it is a 'semi Hemi head' like Ford Boss 429.

What kind of reports have you been getting about them?

All I know is they put them in those 'New' Charger police cars or used to.

Bob, Got your e-mail. He is going to hang on to that engine.

I like them old 428's and 429's... Good old Ford Motors...

As far as the 5.7... The later stuff is better in the cylinder head department. Early on the valve seat margens where set in the cylinder head kind of shallow and not a good fit, so they would drop out the valve seat and cause issues. That has been corrected for the most part on the later ones.
I wished I had gotten more involved with these later Hemi 's, but i have just kind of sat on the side line's with them.... I get a call ever so often to come take a look at some of them locally and asking my opinion on things. And I have worked on a hand full of them in stock trim.

Thank you Bob.

'drop out the valve seat and cause issues'

We are not big on steel 'set' in aluminum.I suppose you have to go with the advantages of an aluminum engine though.

Right now the prices still seem up on the new hemi engines so we are not going to get too excited about them.
