im getting tired of people saying 318 to 360 swaps = boring now yes they have been done before and you people may have done a million of them but when people come to this forum and ask for help and ideas on this or other matters some people say boring, yawn etc,etc that just annoys me and 9 out of 10 times thats the last time you here from that person needing help they move onto other sites it kinda reminds me of asking for help or ideas from brand x owners now i know us mopar owners are alot better than that
i think more help than bashing would bring more people here and we as a group would get to see some interesting projects getting done

You are right. In fact just below your post is an inquiry on 318 to 360. I suppose we could suggest a search of the topic or maybe an archive could be created like "engine swap how to's" and other tech info that NEW members could refer to which would encourage them to come back and stay with the forum.

We will actually have a new "thread" (maybe even sub section) that will be dedicated to "tech talk of the month". A 318 to 360 swap will be one of the items talked about. I am trying to get ahold of the lead admin here to discuss some other "ideas" that have come up lately.

 

Hey this sounds familiar, great idea.

 

i dont think its boring, hell replacing a v8 to a slant six isnt boring, a step back but, if thats what you want to do i say go for it. even if you pill an engine just to repaint it, that what we are here for have each others backs help when needed, from a simple plug change to a full hipo rebuild, im not a fan of the 360's but ill give help when i can, even if my stuff farr fetched, im a hands on guy not just read about it, so 98% of what i say ive done,, enjoy the moter head life!

 

i understand your rant but i must say i have had nothing but great help and ideas for those here at this forum big problem or little alot of people are always willing to give a helping hand or to atleast give a idea for me to think about if they themselves are not sure. i DID belong to another forum and let me tell you there were a few a##holes that really made you not want to post a problem cause they acted like everybody and their brother should know how to fix it. well for those of us that are mechanically challenged this is the perfect forum to belong to while it may not be the biggest forum it is without a doubt the best. being the biggest isnt always the best because of the people that belong here

 

i second the new section that way it can be a guide for newbies or been there done that guys to add there cents into if it wasnt for these forum side id be cussin up and down about a crazy vibration when i put my 360 up to my 904 i think we should break it down into catagories

I agree with the new section...kind of a knowlege base where people can go to get the info they are looking for. As for "boring" projects, if it is boring to you, just don't respond. Those that still have fire for that particular project will respond.
