Unknown Clicking Noise
Alright, I have a 1965 Dodge Polara, it runs well, and it's in good shape. However, as I drive it, there is a clicking noise coming from the front left wheel area. It only clicks when the car is in motion, and the faster i drive, the faster it clicks. I can't be 100% sure, but it seems as though the clicking is more prominent when I slow down and turn right, as though maybe the additional weight aggravates the problem.
Originally I thought the hub cap was flexing, but i removed it and it still does it. Then I thought maybe the wheel was making the noise, but I've had a total of three different wheels on that side and it still makes that noise right there. Then I thought maybe the Wheel Bearing needed adjustment so I did that, but it still clicks. I don't know what else it could be. The only thing left there is the brakes. Does anybody think the brakes might be the culprit? Any recommendations on how to fix it?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is problem I'd like to be solved. It's not necessarily a performance issue, but the noise is irritating...and embarrassing.
