i have a 1990 dodge daytona and im looking to make it faster. more specifically im looking for a performance chip ,the problem is i have no clue which ones really work. i have heard superchips work but they dont have one for a daytona.if u know of any that really work that would b great thanks

 

I had a Jets Performace chip (one that plugs into your PCM) in my 01 Dakota (3.9L V6) and had a cold air intake and cat back exhaust on it. I did not see any gains, only my gas mileage get worse.

Depending on where you live and how you drive, maybe look into a limited slip, depending on the transmission that you have. What other add-ons do you have right now?

 

right now i have a cold air intake,and i upgraded the plugs,wires,distributor cap ,a radiator fan made for racing , i was looking into a msd control module for it but a manager from o rieleys told me his friend has a daytona and the best and cheapest way is a performance chip ,more specificly a superchip

 

You are looking at all add-ons. The problem with that is, you will only be able to get so much HP/TQ out of it because then your motor will be the limiting factor. dependig on how much you are looking to gain, you may need a cam, head work, full exhaust and injectors with a computer re-tune.

You may be able to just have the computer re-tuned as well to try and get more out of it. I'm not sure who would be able to do that though on that PCM.

 

thanks i will definetly look into all of that ,just looking to get the most out of the car . there small cars so the potential should b pretty good
