hi i have a 1990 dodge daytona es 3.0 auto and i want to b able to light the tires up with it. i'd also like better fuel economy of course. i've added a cold air intake. i want to take the cold air from the ram air in the front. but also use the cold air intake. how do i do that? and any other affordable ways would really help thanks

 

It's is not what the Dodge Daytona was made for. It's front wheel drive. While it is not impossible to do burnouts with It will need some serious engine and trans work to live. Like a turbo would be one way for hP, but it does not increase fuel mileage

 

More HP and better gas milage don't belong in the same sentence together. But here are a couple of things that you can do that might help you get close.

1. Full exhaust. A 3.0 V6 will breath better with a header and a 2" exhaust all the way back. Don't get one of those annoying (IMO) import exhausts either. There are some free flowing catalytic convertors out there and Hooker's Max Flow mufflers flow as much air as a 2" straight pipe.
2. Get ride of the automatic trans and install a 5 spd manual with a center force II or dual friction clutch. This will help to get more HP and torque to the wheels and if you drive it right, some better gas mileage.
3. To run your cold air intake to the air dam in the front all you need to get is some tubbing and plan/design how you want it run. It isn't that hard, just take your time with it.
4. A nitrous oxide system will give you power right when you want it but you need to be very careful with this stuff as too much can either damage your motor or blow it. If you want to go this route, I suggest that you research it and see what other upgrades should/need to be done.
