I have a 88 dakota I am putting trading a 2.2 for a 2.5 having a hard time getting motor and trans together. motor is in mounts trans is 5 speed any hints on getting them to slide completly together.

 

I believe that they are two different bell housings. You also need to make sure that the crank on the 2.5 is set up for a manual trans and not an automatic. If it is then you need to compare the pilot bearing sizes and make sure that they are the same.
