Neutral safety

Anyone know the exact location that the brown wire coming from the transmission neutral safety goes(64 Fury 727 transmission - 1 wire)? Picture would help. I assume starter relay but already wire coming from the wire harness there.

wire on starter relay

looks like whoever owned my car befor bypassed the neutral relay.
If you look at my picture attached all lugs are full and the neutral wire is just hanging beside it. \Any ideas?

Might be possible that the wire had a problem and someone just ran a new wire instead of unlooming the whole harness?
Also... I think I would test it in Drive to make sure it will not turn over while in gear. that way you know for sure if its even hooked up or not.
Just my 2 cents....

I checked out another old dodge and found that mine was shorted out to the relay and yes would start in gear. So i corrected the connection and works well now.

That's good,..... I know of a very nice 67 chevelle ss 396 that got driven through the back of a garage. It went through a work bench a toolbox first.

got the neutral safety sorted but blew my muffler apart.......awg. Cant win lately. I guess gas build up in muffler. I was repairing the carb throttle linkage and trans kickdown and must have floaded it a bit.. i was going to change exhaust but not now... now no choice...

Oh My...... Sounds like it might have had some holes in the exhaust and allowed a little to much air in, and then lit off the fumes....

So are you going to be looking for the Stock system or more of a Hot Rod Sound?

wanted dual exhaust, it was single exhaust and muffler was not good. Car has a 318 polyspere just rebuilt. thinking more stock "quiet" exhaust with cross over. Whats your thoughts on exhaust. Just rebuilt motor stock with mild cam

I would agree.... Nice Dual exhaust with a set of Turbo Mufflers 2" or 2-1/2"
Out the back with a couple of chrome tips.. Cross over Pipe, If it will fit nice... Would sound great....
