New to Mopar

Hello everyone. I recently sold off a Camaro and am looking for a change of pace in the Mopar community. I've seen some early 70's Chargers and Satellites that I like. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money ($7K to be exact) so of course I want the most for my money. Like I mentioned above I have no Mopar knowledge. I know a good bit about cars so the normal things I can look out for but is there anything anyone can add to things like common rust issues, motor issues, or issues with the early 70's Chargers and Satellites or Roadrunners to look out for? I also like the dusters and darts of the 70's. I'm really looking for a car that is useable but I can tinker with untill I hand it over to my son in a few years. We are just burnt out on the Trans Am's and Z28's and the Chevelles and GTO's are everywhere. You dont see a nice 71-74 Charger or Roadrunner out there. Also, if anyone has a lead on a good car let me know. I'm in Atlanta, GA and will travel up to around 300 miles.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome!

Inspect the trunk deck and torsion bar crossmember for rot. The Charger and Dart will demand more money because of the name IMO. The Satellite, Duster and Valiant can usually be had for much cheaper.
