Exclamation new to the mopar / car scene

My son just bought a 1974 scamp. It has a slant six in it right now and i would like to know what up grades have to be made to swap in a 340. its and all orginal car . figured we needed frame conector and some front end up grades but do not know what is needed . it also has the small bolt patern rear end in it. will this hold up to a big horse power eng. or dose this need to be changed also if so what is a good four link bolt in system. i need all the help i can get ;thank you for any info posable. one other thing on a small budget. makes it kind of tuff.

It was my girlfriend's 1970 Duster 340 (in 1972 and I was 16) that started my love for Mopar products!! Her dad bought it for her because 'he thought that she'd look good in a cute 'purple' car'. She was a few months older than I. She would drive, we'd putt around and I liked the way the dual exhaust sounded. I finally got my driver's license and she let me drive, I stepped on the throttle, that 340 roared, both rear tires spun and I COULD NOT BELIEVE how quick this car was.... That was it!!! I was hooked!!

Welcome aboard. Schumacher Creative makes the slant 6 to V-8 conversion mounts, heavier torsion bars and disc brakes up front are a plus. If it has that puny 7 1/4" rear you will need to step up to an 8 1/4" or 8 3/4" rear.

Talking thank you everyone

Have not had a chance to get back here till now and what graet suport i have recived thank you and i will try to get pics as the project moves along . and i made a typing mistake it is a 72 scamp . we just got the front fenders off the other day . the driver side was dented bad and the pasanger side was rusted. but we have found a doner car for parts. my son is a mopar nut and im slowly getting the bug
