Just as I have been fearing, that's actually happening quicker than I thought. When I see Chrysler turn their backs on the hemi it will be a sad day. I forgot about he upcoming cafe standards. That will change alot of things for all car companies. I hate to think about the world I will grow old in

I can't imagine what the future will be like for us. All these rules and regulations and more popping up everyday. They say it's for our safety but I say look, you have survived this long. Everyone will get hurt in life, that's just a fact. What bothers me the most is the people that are now running things are the same people from the 70s that rioted and rebelled against the "man" have become exactly or even worse by enacting all the regulations. When I say the end is near I'm not just talking about great cars, I'm talking about our way of life in general. We will soon be driving our electric vehicles to our jobs repairing the automated machines to make the machines that make the electric vehicle and all taking our mandated vaccines that slowly kill our immune system and makes us less fertile . We must stop what is happening. This is supposed to be our government run by us but to me it seems like it's a government run by power-hungry people that give us false hope. They are slowly taking more and more control over our lives, some people may see it and others may not and some may not care thinking it doesn't effect them. Everything has an effect and it may not be immediate but always remember everything has an effect.

Am I the only one who resented the hemi trademark when they brought it back a few years ago? Chrysler loves cannibalizing their old icons. Look at the newer and newest chargers. What do those have to do with the chargers of the 60's and 70's. It's just a label to sell more cars.

i dont resent the hemi being brought back, its not a true hemi but i dont resnt it, i thought it was a good move on their part.
chargers they dont look nothing like the 60,s/70,s. 74 was the last year of any good charger, look at the 80,s charger id rather have todays charger than the 80,s. all it was rebadged plymouth horizon tc3, daytona, omni, turismo, with a mind shattering 85 whole horsepower!

Ok i read that the new hemi heads are flatter and more complex. Might not be a true 100% hemi, but to me it's still a hemi. I also read that they will be coming out with a new 6.4L hemi in 2011 for the srt8 cars. They'll also be selling them as crate engines. Cant wait to see what numbers thy put up.

Thanks Mack.

I'm sure that there are more reasons than they are saying, for "downplaying" the Hemi line of motors.

Hopefully they will cater to both hardcore moparfans and the new green generation. I think if they did all green they would lose alot of customers but also gain quite a few new customers. I hope dodge won't do that to us
