Opinions

Just joined today, looking for opinions on a couple ideas,I am in process of building a 1970 dart with 572 all aluminium hemi, tko 5spd,car is very nice mini rubbed caltracs,t-bars gone coil overs, body little rough parking lot dings zero rust,10 pt cage. Just picked up a 1996 indy ram truck lowered super clean,

Now the dart will take prob 10-15 grand to finish, and prob at least a year. I got this crazy idea to yank the360 out of the truck and put the 572 and 5 sod and Dana 60 in the truck . Prob cost a grand and take a month . Any input

My opinion is that you are crazy. You have my full support, I need to see photos and videos of the build and finished truck. I take it you're not worried about emissions?

the dart doesn't really like to go over 150 i mean kinda short wheel base for 200mph speed runs don't you think
well at least when you mash it to the floor you'll be able to sit and spin

and that will give your truck some new and improved towing capacity.
then you can get that big azz boat too tow behind it all the while smoking the tire's and burning fuel. woohoo sound's like fun.

??WHUT??

Read and learn. This is NOT a drag race!! NOTICE the decided lack of any needed steering input to keep it straight.

Welcome!

Either way you go would be cool.

I'd pull everything that you need from the Dart, sell it off and swap everything over to the truck. the truck would need a cage but throwing in a 4 link system and tubbing the bed for monster size tires would be much easier. The truck is heavier but with a well built 572 alum Hemi, it doesn't really matter.

Got any pics?

AWESOME! Both sound like a ton of fun!!!!

I know you discussed the final build state but whats the intent of use?

And the truck is 96 so its OBDII compliant. Do you need to pass inspection or a sniffer test? If so you can use stroker kits for the truck's 360 to get to more cubes and keep the injection and prevent MIL lights. Just a thought.

nice video!
wounder what if any suspension mod's?
2 more gears he would have hit 200mph...

My brother's 440 dart swinger didn't like 150 needed way stiffer suspension and big azz air dam up front.
