Angry Outrageous fraud!

Hey everyone, i just wanted all of you to know what i've been through
I bought a vehicle that had front end damage from a collision, which wasn't disclosed by the seller. And he’d shown me a CARFAX report, which also didn't show any accident records — the car was absolutely clean according to it. However, I ran a report on another website, epicvin.com, and it showed that the car was in an accident and then repaired. I don't know why this information wasn't disclosed by CARFAX, but now I'm aware that CARFAX isn’t a service that can be trusted, and I won't use it again.

Many of us knew this. Also, l if a title has been "washed" through other states, it might not show up. But in the end, was it "properly" repaired? If not an inspection should have showed that up.

Yeah, it's definitely the washing of a title
What bugges me is having to pay 40$ for a report that is worthless. I paid 9$ at epicvin.com and look where it got me
https://www.epicvin.com/en/check-vin...8c798f2120f5d6

I got pics that show my car with a ruined front from the auctions that were not even listed in CARFAX.

And the clean perfect CARFAX report if you're interested

If you have the Carfax report check the vin# and see if it is the same as the one on the car. It could be all on the seller.

I had a truck that had been totaled and rebuilt, I did a Carfax report just to see if anyone had died in the wreck. They reported "7 major incidents" which were all just regular state registrations, but no mention of the wreck. My credit card company got my money back. I never did find out if the truck was haunted...

Do you have any potential recourse to CarFax? I've seen their commercials and why I don't know if they guarantee anything, one would think that their service would give protection.

Since they didn't pick up this vital information, their service was worthless. No no, it was worse than worthless, because you paid $40 for it and you bought a car based on the information contained in it.

I hope things work out for the best.

Not really sure how exactly carfax works or how they get their info, but if its all input from various sources (body shops, dealerships, garages of all sizes), I'm not surprised that it wasn't in there.
