Pay me now or pay me later.

Here is the most absurd warranty statement a company/supplier can
make for a product you have to install ( don't think there's anyone that
specializes in this ) as a mod. Seems they have no faith whatsoever in
their product and any thing that goes wrong is your fault. Read on and
try to guess who it is. Hint - there product was featured in Hot Rod Mag.

"This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part only; the warranty specifically excludes labor or consequential damages or injury. Owner is responsible for removal and re-installation of product and shipping product back. The decision as to whether the defective part will be repaired or replaced will rest solely with the company. The warranty period begins on the date the product is shipped.
This warranty is void if the product is or was improperly installed, abused in any manner, or used for racing or experimental purposes. Road or accident damage is not covered. Owner must supply housing run out specs taken at the time of installation and type of fluid used in the product."

If you didn't know what the product was, would you buy it based on
this warranty. Cost of product $5,584 and it's just a mod.

Sounds like it was written specifically for me, but it should read, "if you blew our product up because you think it's funny, you can go to Hell".

I don't think that would stand up in court if it went that far

This is actually the terms for purchasing a Keisler overdrive automatic
transmission. The article was on Hot Rod Mag's web site and the
retail distributor posted these terms upon purchase. I would hate
to have to contact their Tech Support - it's probably nonexistent.
The site is Silver Sport Transmissions and wait 'till you read their
other terms. Got their butts covered six ways of Sunday.

I love it when people join forums to bash others.

This is all pretty standard stuff in this business and SST has nothing to hide.
