Potato Digger Hood?

Remembering my dad talking about his first car, I am almost sure it was a Chryslter, he mentioned it had a potato digger hood or something. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I have heard some large hood scoops called "pizza warmers", but never heard of a "potato digger" hood.

That's what I'm thinking. Since he graduated high school in the late 50's I would guess the car was from the 40's or early 50's. I'm still lookin'

you are so right! back in the day they would extend the hood to the ground! and in the hood above the carb they would cut out the sheetmetal and add a peice of screen, then they would get a running start to the potato feild and start digging potato's. as the potato' pass over the hood, the carb has such velocity, that it sucks the dirt right off the potato's. then the trunk catches the potato's, (with the lid off) the dirt comes out the tail pipe back onto the potato field,

Sorry, I think I have the wrong forum. I believe it was maybe a '34 ******, which in a way became Chrysler, back then it was not.
