X2
I lost a power steering pump from water in the fluid within a few hours of driving...
It was dark, I added fluid at my brother's place in Moorpark, from an uncapped container that must've been outside in the rain then, got on the freeway to go to Sacramento. The pulley locked up in Stockton... :-(

No it did not lock up it just all of a sudden after starting the engine the wheels would turn to the left on its own. I know their is an adjustment on it I just have not messed with it still trying to fix the rear main seal leak.

warring!!! do NOT use solvent or gasoline, or other thin fluids, they WILL make it lock it up. only use power steering or engine oil.

Keep the power steering !!! Manual steering is a "B".. most of the boxes out there are worn out. so unless you buy a a re manufactured FAST ratio box it is a waste of time. Even NASCAR uses power steering
Turning to the left ? You may have hit the top adjustment part knocking it out of adjustment when the engine was out ??
