So I have a 2013 RAM 1500 big horn, my steering rack and pinion sounds like 💩 so I’m having to replace. I called the dealer and they said it cost 2.2k and that it’s back ordered. But I think I see other sites selling them but not sure if there might be a better price site or if anyone knows of where I could purchase one. The part number they gave me is (R8573449aa). It showed me that oreilys have a compatible one but not 100% sure and I asked them and they couldn’t guarantee me.

i have not but man it sounds like it’s done haha, squeaks and squeals everytime I turn it, it’ll even clink at time especially on bumpy roads sad to say it might be done

 

According to Napa the truck has a gear box ???? Not a rack and pinion... and are available remanufactured...
So hang a gearbox, power steering pump with new belts and hoses and you should be good to go for a long time....
