Took the Dart to the track again
Took the Dart to the track again Still fell short of my expectations, but at least this trip nothing broke! There are new carbs coming and will be spraying (N20) next trip out, and will be launching much harder.
Here are a few pictures.

Second, the pictures need to be hosted someplace (like the gallery in Crazy4Carz or photobucket) of course I think C4C is better.
Third, Right click the picture, then propperties, then cut and paste the location line in the box with the little picture above where you type your text when you reply. OR, just type after the properties line.
Thanks

scrolling through the pic's I thought I would post just this one more .
just to show it is not good paint outside and a roach inside. I tried to keep the interior "stock" looking but period correct with Superstock seats and brackets, 8 point roll bars, belts etc, but still has the stock radio and creature comforts. It is usually cleaner and neater than this.

Nice pics! I live about 30 miles from the Woodburn Oregon dragstrip http://www.woodburndragstrip.com/ and visit frequently, but I have never run anything down the track. I can't afford to fix whatever may break! I am taking my 13 year old daughter the weekend of 09/20 so she can run a Jr. dragster (rented) down the track 6 or 8 times. I think she will be hooked, so I may be looking for a race car in the next few years.
You have my respect for actually going down the track. Good luck on making the 10's!!!

These are great. I think they would actually hook on snow! Just kidding, but they are good. The only downside, the clean-up after going to the track is a bit messy. The rubber is all gooey all over the quarters. Next time out I will have blue painters tape covering the quarters and that will make it much easier, and be barely visable

Hmmm blue painters tape?... All i ever did was take some petrolium jelly and slather it on the lower edge of the quarters... get home wasah it off... WD-40 works pretty well in the fenderwells although i never worried all that much about that area

Silicone lube spray for the wheelwells and 3m makes some tear-offs for the lower 1/4's, but I'm sure you can duplicate something cheaper. Saran wrap is fun! You can also use it to make a mini-dress out of it for your wife! A few extra wraps around the middle and there goes the tummy! The red and green colors around X-mas time are popular. I like how I can drag any conversation down to my level!
