Tranny cooler

Does anybody know if it's against the rules to mount a tranny cooler with inside a vehicle say behind the seat. Don't know if it's aloud or not having trouble finding a spot in 69 dart thanks

Nothing wrong with doing that but your tranny may warm up a lot more than you want. You want the tranny cooler out front where it can get the coolest, largest amount of air. Trannies don't like heat.

Look at your front fender inner brace. I mounted mine in front of the tire with a piece of angle aluminum and a small electric fan to keep it cool.

Can imagine how it would get enough air flow behind the seat. Even if it did work, you'd have an auxiliary heater you might not need in the summer. On or in front of the radiator is the usual position.
