VIN Decode for a 1981 Mirada
Hi,
I have a 1982 Mirada, which has a VIN that decodes on most of the free sites. However, I am looking to buy a parts car, and the owner claims it is a 81 with a 360, which I assume also meanst that it has an A727. From all of the documents I have on the Mirada (admittendly, not much at this point), there was no 360 in 1981, only in 1980. Yet the VIN number (2B3BJ62M0BRXXXXXX), I think indicates a 360 due to the M engine code (318s are K engine code). a picture of the car's VIN is what I have to go by, but the numbers are fairly easy to see.
Does anybody know if this is somthing that may have been made for the Canadian only market, or is there any indication that it may have been some sort of a special order?
