VIN/Engine Code Assistance

Hey everyone, I'm very excited to be part of the Mopar community once again, its been 7 years, and have purchased myself a 69 Road Runner. I've wanted one forever!
It's an older restoration, I would say pre 2005, but is in smart enough condition.
So I'm after some assistance please regarding the engine code/vin.
The engine is stamped with the following
3.24.68
2468130.11
Plus a couple of random letters.
My research tells me that the engine is a 383 produced on March 24th 1968.. would this be correct?
Unfortunately I cannot find anything else at all by way of a vin or something that would denote a warranty/replacement engine, I've looked everywhere that other threads have said to check.
My only assumption is that it's not the original engine but I'm pretty sure they'd be some code somewhere to tell me something?
Also, since there are no vin stamps anywhere else in the 'usual places' I again assume that panels, rad support etc have been replaced. I see talk of post cars but not sure if this applies to mine.
Can any of you guys in the know help me out a bit.
Thanks in advance.
Nick

Your VIN should be stamped on the LT quarter panel in the drip rail area. Also it will be stamped on the radiator core support, on the pan rail on the block and on the transmission. Sometimes during a repaint the stamped numbers on body panels will be filled with primer and paint and not visible.

Unfortunately the radiator support looks to have been replaced and I cannot find anything at all on the block, anywhere, except for the date etc.. Where on the transmission will I find anything, also what does 'LT' mean?

Oh right, thank you. First time I've heard to look there.. Where should I look on the transmission, I've been under the car to check the tranny but cannot see anything other than C97372 which denotes the 4sp

The drivers side inner fender should have a plate. That is the build plate and it has codes on it that detail the entire build. The date for the engine block is reasonable for a 69.
