I personally like MSD but there are a bunch of good wires out there.
Are you adding a high output coil, have a ignition module and/or performance distributor? If so, I'd go with 8-9mm wires like you have. If you have neither, I'd just go with a stock set of wires.

The MSDs have a good following, but I'm an old Accel guy. The fact of the matter is, a long as you get the right type of wires, there really isn't enough of a difference to write home about.
If you're using headers, do NOT get pre-cut wires, since your routing will not be anything like stock. It's a good chance to get creative. (Since you can't hide them, show 'em off.)
Most applications work best with 90* plug boots. You may also need wire "sleeves", the insulated tubes that go around the wires at the plug end. They really are a wire saver.
Depending on your header configuration, going to "shortie" or "peanut" spark plugs can also add clearance. I use the Accel short plugs, those plus the wire covers made a big difference.

I prefer MSD Super Conductor.
When testing wires once to determine if one had bad cord I was extremely surprised to see how little resistance these had compared to other "High Performance" wires.
I had Ford MS 8mm, Chevy 8mm, Summit, Mopar, and some Taylors ( low price point ones) at the time. There was no comparison. I did not test Accel and have used them on bikes with good results.
In the spirit of full disclosure the MSD were twice as much as the lower price 8mm items but the difference at the meter was large.

The best longest lasting wires are bare none the factory sets, which are available date coded from chrysler still. However since your running headers you WILL fry a few so get a cheap set like they linked above.
If I had to buy a new set up it would be MSD with a 6al box
