Question what tool

what tool is used to remove the upper balljoint on a 65'? i know i need the pickle fork to separate it from the spindle but it looks like it screws into the top of the control arm and has a square bolt head on top.

My dad is a Matco tool distributor, he will know and might possibly have the tool you need. I'll ask him and get back to you

You would need the Chrysler ball joint socket, there are 2 sizes, and they are expensive, ask around locally to see if you can borrow or rent one , some auto parts stores rent tools out for the DIY guys.

sgp the guys are right, it takes a really funky socket to remove those... I dont know where you are located and or if you are interested in buying the sockets, but i know my old snap-on dealer ended up with some of those sockets on a 'trade-in' deal... just post if you would like his no. i will then pm it to you...
