RACING/STREET 440/(2)727'S AND PARTS
Engine stand and two 727's $2000 local pick up cause everything will fill a truck bed.
The 440 is extra nice, has light internals lightened crank, H-beam rods The Ross pistons were $500 alone. The 915 closed chamber heads are 67 GTX only They are un ported But it does need new valve springs (pretty cheap and i hae some on another se of heads)) and a timing chain cover seal.Would fly with a bigger cam (I have .610 lift cam I will throw in. The other tranny has a full manual reverse pattern valve body.
73 big block 440 and transmission
1973 big block 440 with nice block steel crank 440source H-beam rods Ross pistons (I believe this is the lightest piston and rod combo avial for 440 except alum)Block was line bored with main studs,915 heads with 2.14 1.81 valves TM 7 intake 440source roller rockers Comp 5:40 lift cam Cometic head gaskets head studs.440 source deep pan and windage tray. Also extra 727 with man valve body.and another 727 for parts. Comes on 1250lb engine stand w rollers
engine block # 3698830-440-7
block date 10/20/73
there is a heck of alot more money in this engine the im asking but moving soon.
.The 440 has a stock 3.75 stroke It is bored .030 overIt has main studs. head studs. Its internally balanced That means all the pistons and rods weigh exactly the same then there was meat removed from the crank to match the pistons and rods. Was line bored with main studs new cam bearings new brass freeze plugs I spared no expense at the machine shop. Has new oil pump new timing set.Its a shame it never got close to its potential cause money got redirected. never had one that rev,d so quick. I think the valve springs were too weak for it.It revs quicker than a friends racing small block chevy. Or at least new valve springs(have another set of 440 heads w good springs) and bigger cam(have a 0.610 new in box). Those 915 heads that are on it are in nice shape but basicly street heads. They really need to be on a nice street car.
You could take everything listed below for $3000-obo
Engine-440 on 1250lb stand
trannys-727 x2 one is for parts(broken worm or planetary gear...not sure)
Cam-0.610 lift -new in box
Pistons-SRP forged silicone free alloy -new in box
Starters-three, one alum
Another set of cylinder heads w springs
9" racing BTE converter -new in box
Some connecting arms and a couple other various parts
8qt oil pan etc..
