About $121 US dollars (at 6/28/09 conversion rate) for those who don't know the conversion.

That is a really good price.

with stock internals the 390 is pushing it, but built up - mine ran like a mother#$%&er.

from the box, jets are good but it needs slightly smaller metering rods. it runs great with that setup, even tooling around in the 110+ summers.

when i was at my club's picnic the other day, i mentioned putting a 4-speed behind a slant six. One guy immediately said that you'll blow a rod by doing that. I said, "Oh really, and just walked away."
Now, I am 99% sure that he didnt know what he was talking about, but that 1% makes me wonder?

its the same tranny - on the od units the factory made actual 3rd od keeping 4th 1:1. they flipped the 3-4th shift lever so it will shift in order.
