Rescued from a farmers field in Fernley Nevada a year and a half ago. Been working on it ever since. It had been sitting there for 10 years.

Built 360 727, with a sure grip rear. Factory Tach car with slapstick. Bucket seats, Factory rear defroster, front and rear factory sways, non ac. Was a white strobe stripe car. I didn't like white on red so I ordered up a set in matte black.

Love it! I hate to ask but do you have any specs on your rim and tire combo i really like the stance on your car.

 

The wheels are old skewl American Racing. They came on the car when I bought it. They are 15x7 with unknown spacing. The tires are 235x60x15, all the way around.

I put a set of 40 series Flowmasters on the Roadrunner this weekend. I put a new set of Summit Racing brand headers on last week, to replace the old crushed ones that were on there. I used Percy's exhaust gaskets. So far, so good. The car sounds great now. I'm still fiddling with carburation and timing.

I don't know the history on the motor. I do know the block is painted black. I suspect it was rebuilt at a machine shop, painted, and reinstalled. Hopefully it was bored, while it was out.

Pull the oil cap and there are Crane Roller Rockers stamped 69 1.50

They are gold in color. Engine sounds like it has a healthy cam. Heads look to be non J head stockers, with the roller rockers mentioned above. It has a high volume fuel pump and a demon coil as well. Came with a chrome box, aluminum edlebrock intake, and a Holley 4777-4 double pumper ( I think it's a 650 cfm). The carb was just rebuilt by a friend, but I think it's gonna need to be jetted down a bit. I live at 5,000 feet elevation and it's running really fat right now.

I'm hoping to have 300 to 375 horsepower, depending on bore and compression. I just don't know for sure, due to lack of history on the motor. It has alot of compression and feels really strong to me.

I'm getting really pumped. I'm planning to register the car and start driving it next payday. Troy

It was parked out in the weather. No gas cap on. Headlights were ziptied in place. Windshield was smashed. Interior was hammered. FE5 Red Paint was faded to Orange.

Amen! Here's an oxymoron for you, "Extra Money"! No such thing! Car looks great though, Troy. My Roarunner project is like a Pollock at a flashing red light! gas,brake,gas,brake,gas,brake. I can never get a roll going.

 

It's sort of, " Will work for Roadrunner parts".


I have a rim clamp tire machine and spin balancer at home. I do tires and wheels for people, on the side, in addition to my real job . I usually charge around $10 per tire. That is where I got alot of my extra for the Roadrunner.

I bought the machines from a local tire shop, when they upgraded to newer machines. They were worth every penny.

Alot of the parts came from e-bay. I did get some stuff that was less than desireable. But most of the things I got from e-bay were really good.

Some other parts I bought from members here on B Bodys, Rock Auto, Dante's Mopar Parts, and Summit Racing Equipment. We actually have a Summit and hour from my house, up in Reno.
