Here is a picture of my first car. I had seen the car at the local Plymouth dealer and went home and told my dad I need this car. I worked for my dad which owned a full service Gulf service station. I had enough money for a down payment but I was still a senior in high school about to graduate. He said I didn't need a car yet. My best friend had a 68 dodge dart 340 and I sure like the looks of the Cuda. Disappointed I went on to school but one afternoon a few weeks later as I was going home I seen the Cuda going down the same highway I lived on and thought someone has bought my car and my heart sank, however, the closer I got to my home I seen the Red 340 Cuda setting in our front yard. My dad had went and bought the car for me as a graduation present and the rest is history. List price of the car was $3000.00. Picture taken in 1971.

Your first car was a dream come true. My first one was a 4-door 63 Plymouth Valiant slant six push button auto. Wish I still had it. I loved that car.

 

BBDart, you are making me feel real old!!!! My first car was a 1952 Plymouth..... Probable before you were born.....

 

Sweet first car. My first car was a 59 Rambler American. It briefly had a 265 Chevy swapped in until dad wanted the race boat motor back. After the bathtub car, I got a 68 Newport with the police package. Grandma didn't know it had that much go when she bought it at an auction. She just thought it was big and would be safe for me to drive.
