Thank you guys.
I know the Dakota is not that popular, and to be quite honest I am a 'B" body fan [prior to the sloped rear ends] and since I've been hanging around here have started to really like the looks of some of the "A" bodies, the Dart looks like a mini Coronet.
But when I had the chance to own a running Mopar especially with a 340/727 and for a whopping 900 bucks I could not pass it up.
As of today I have less that $1200 into the truck and she runs pretty good, short of that darn hesitation I can't seem to get rid of.
I called and old Mopar buddy up and told him what I had, he said "well that 340 is probably worth some money"
"you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you get what you need"

I'd be willing to bet that the 340/727 is worth more than the $1,200 that you have in to the whole truck though. Someone I'm guess, did not know what they had. Good score for you Joe.
