I agree that it isn't really an even playing field when a project, daily driver, or stock appearing clean cruiser is up against a car that is a "trailer queen" or "show pony". Those who have invested lots of time and hard earned money should definitely be proud of their cars, but I doubt they find much pride in being selected over someones project or other car that doesn't reflect the same level of investment. Some of you guys have voiced your opinion and seem to be happy with the way the contest is set up and so be it. It is obvious, based on the response to the MOTM voting, the contest is not the only reason people visit this site. To everyone who is working on a long term project or daily driver, or trying to keep their old Mopar as born, I do appreciate your efforts and realize that not all have the time or budget to feed their cars. We need to keep all the guys/gals who are starting out with entry level cars interested in our hobby. That said, lets try to change things w/o changing things. Next month nominate, second and accept your nomination for cars that are less then perfect, but show pride of ownership and dedication to keeping/getting them on the road. Thanks for your time reading my humble opinion.

Voted....
I read all the comments about voting and I can see it is pretty tough to do the monthly voting. Each person has an idea of what a "nice" car is, money plays a factor, knowledge plays a role, mechanical capability etc.... I think it is pretty hard to set up the votes each month and I appreciate the people who take the time to do it. Tough Job for a fun site!

The forum members pick the cars each month, we first hold nominations which you as a forum member are welcome to nominate any car you please, then we wait till another member seconds the nomination. After that the car owner must accept nomination to be placed into the voting pool, as many accepted nominations as we get, that's the pool for that month, be it 2,3,4 or 5 cars, then you as a member also get to vote for YOUR favorite from the available choices. The winner will not be places back in the pool after winning (only one shot per car) If one person has more than one car, they can run more than once provided the car has not previously won. So with that said, watch for the nominations to open, and SPEAK UP!!!

Ok, well if we have two votings, one for show cars, and one for projects, that might work.
We just have to be careful. Since other people nominate others, we wouldnt want someones car to be nominated as a project car, meanwhile they are perfectly happy with how it is.
But then, how do you vote for projects? They are what they are called, projects.
