Hey guys,

I recently got a 73 Charger and am looking to upgrade my wheels. I am thinking I want to get American Racing VN501 wheels. Any advice on 15 vs 17 inch rims. And what width should I get? I am new to this and just starting out. Need some advice.

15x7 and 15x8 if going for a tradition muscle car look. 275/60R15 will fit on the rear.
Or if you want a more modern muscle look the 17x7 frontt 17x9 with +12mm offset rear.

Pic of my Challenger at tire Rack

17x9 with the +12mm offset

about an inch of clearance.

Wow, Is that going to leave you enough (tire to spring) side wall clearance?

I've been using 15x8s (275/60s) in the rear and 15x7s (215/70s) up front on my 74 Charger for years, looks fine and no clearance issues.
