Homemade 'white letter' tires?
Greetings crew members.
So, has anyone ever tried to make white letter tires from white wall tires?
I'm thinking about trying it.
Scuff the white walls with a soft wire wheel brush, lay-off and apply sticky-back letters onto the white wall (MoPar Wide Oval?), paint the white wall, then pull the sticky-back letters.
Sounds right, right?
What could you recommend I use for black tire paint?
Damn cheap, Capt. Boompy's Deep Water Charter Service

Maybe run it through an air brush...
Now to figure-out what my tires should say. I'm going to research some early 1960's racing tire names, maybe get some ideas there.
When I finish this little 'el cheapo' project of mine, I'll post pictures.
Could be sweet, could be awful...
Thanks to all who posted, Capt. Boompy
