Wheel widening- 1970 Cuda
Good evening,
I am looking to widen the rear wheels on my 1970 Cuda as wide as I can go. I found some information on a company called Welcraft Wheels, does anyone here have any opinion on them as the choice of vendor for a project like this? Also, for those of you guys who have done this, how did you do it? It looks like we have to move the leaf springs in order to make room, but that alone isn't enough to get the look I'm hoping for. Any feedback would be amazing!
Thanks in advance fellow Mopar brethren!
Jeff

Check over here >>>>>> https://forum.e-bodies.org/wheels-ti...oks-good/4016/
E-Body.org.
From what I here... 15X7 245/60-15 4-1/2" back spacing and stock spring location fits.... Not sure if it rubs?
But I would Check with the E-Body Folks....
Keep us posted on what you came up with.... Hope it looks good... Cheers

There is a kit to move the springs so they line up with the frame. Depending on what you want, you might cut the inner part of the wheel well out and move it, then weld a bent piece to fill the newly created gap. Either way the max you can get in there is a bit less than the distance from the outside of the frame and the inner lip of the wheel well. If you want more than that, it gets a bit harder and means new rear section of your frame.
