1961 Plymouth Fury drum to disc brake conversion questions

Hi, I have looked all through the site but nobody seems to have talked about drum to disc brake conversion on any '61 models. Even on disc brake conversion websites, the retailers all seem to start their kits at '62 and newer. Am I missing something, or are there no kits available for pre-1962 cars/trucks?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this mystery. A caveat...I may not have read every thread on disc brakes here, so maybe I did miss a thread that would help me.

just a shot in the dark. it might have to do with the rear axle being a tapered shaft on the end. on the chrysler body cars this was used throu 1964. 1965 being the first year for the flanged axle, this is on chrysler body, dodge and ply might be the same years. you should be able to find a flanged axle that will bolt in. iam unfamiliar with the front brakes on your body. a 1965 chrysler has reg bendix brakes.

HI, I'm back to this thread I started a few years ago, and I'm still searching for an answer.
I want to convert my front drum brakes to disk brakes on my '61 Plymouth Fury. All kits seem to be for 1962 and newer, so far. I called Wilwood and they advised me to swap my spindles for 1965 Fury spindles and then call them. Can anyone confirm that '65 Fury spindles will fit on my '61? Is this the route I should take? Does anyone have any other suggestions? I was given the option available in the link below. Does anybody have any experience with this alternative? Any opinions on it? Sorry, many questions here, but will appreciate any help you can give. Glenn
