I have a 2019 Ram pro master city and was hoping some can help me identify this part. No one has been able to tell me exactly what it is for. It exists only on the driver side sliding door, not the passenger side. The door hangs on it every time you try to open such that you have to grab the backside of the door and pull it out past that piece to get it to open. I’d like to replace the part or eliminate all together if it is not necessary but I just can’t seem to find what it is any where.
It’s pouring rain so I can’t go take another picture but the first picture is the back edge of the driver side sliding door, that little black plastic square is where the little tip gets hung up on when opening. Closes fine. The passenger side door and frame are just smooth white aluminum in those locations, no plates or notches like the piece could be installed if you wanted it to be.
My guess would be the one on the body is to allow access to a Seat Belt Fastner?
The one on the door, I have no idea what that one is for.
I dont see any photos, information, or Technical Service Bulletin's (TSB) for that issue!
I'm Stumped what those holes are for.... Sorry
