318 loading up

318 loading up

I have a 318 with a Vintage speed 3X2 intake and 3 Rochester 2 barrels. Right now it only has the center carb hooked up. This is in a 1919 Dodge roadster. Just got engine to fire. Runs great at WOT but when trying to idle it will pop and set the gas in the carb on fire

. Any suggestion appreciated. Thanks

Try advancing your timing. Is this engine stock? I would start at 10*-12* initial BTDC with the vacuum advance line unhooked and plugged. See if that helps.
