Hello everyone, I have a 340 w/11:1 comp a 472 lift 260 duration cam, solid lifters, 650 Edelbrock thunder 1905 carb and Mopar vacuum advance distributor. I'm asking what is the ignition set up or scrap the disributdis for full mechanical. It breaks up under load at 2500 and Roars at 3800 on up. I think it may be in advance curve or base timing setting.
please advice!!

what is your timming set at idle , 2500 rpm and total?

 

Yes what are you now?

If this is a test I'll go, Initial 16-20 total 35 at 2500 rpm no vacuum advance.
