360 stall issue

360 stall issue

my friend put a 360 into a 79 aspen and now we r having issues...it's just a stock truck 360 and has been torn down and put back together with all new rings bearings and seals it is topped with

a q jet carb and has a unregulated electric fuel pump(picked it up from orielly and claims it doesn't need a regulator) but now with the backround of the vehicle the issue is when you go to open it up

either from a launch or just picking up speed it will stall for a second then pick up again but other times it will just fall on it's face spit n spudder a bit then slowly come back

Sounds like a carb issue.

the exhaust part...he's runnin a set of summit headers... and what do you sugest with the carb issue if it is one thinking too rich or lean?
