383 and a 440 crank.

I have a 383 block and a 440 crank would that make it into a stroker? I know there would be alot of machining to do and could be pricey but is it worth it? Just planing down the road with the charger yankin the 340 and putting a Big Block in it.

hey there guy's

i to have a 383 & 78 440 motor home engine . the 383 is a freshly built + .040 which is going quite well & done only about 320 miles or not even . i will be doing a head & cam , piston's swap . i got a quote today for grinding the 440 cast crank down to suit the low deck block $220-250 au . i think that's a fair price for the extra cubes . and those cubes will make better use of the Indy ez heads i already have . well i already own every thing . i know i will need a good damper and weld on the weights to the converter & re leave the block a bit but that's all good . is that a good option . i 'll keep the 440 block for later use it is std bore . any opinions appreciated thanks
