400 crank in a 383 block?

400 crank in a 383 block?

Will this work and what does this do for stroke and compression?Thanks!

The 400 has the same stroke crank as the 383 so there are no gains in compression or cubic inches. the 400 crank is cast iron and most 383 cranks were forged steel (not all of them though.)
