340 block, "J" heads, cast crank and 727 trans
Block needs to be honed due to surface rust in cylinders. It does have new freeze out plugs and cam bearings. bearing have some surface rust from sitting. casting #'s are 2780930-340-5 and date code is 1/12/73 Asking $425
Stock cast crankshaft from the 340. In very good shape. its wrapped in plastic so there is no rust on journals. $125
"J" casting cylinder heads (1970-72) need to be redone. Valve size is 1.88/1.60 .Heads are clean casting #'s are 3418915-F and 3418915-C $200
727 trans came out of same car. has 86k miles on it. Needs to be rebuilt $125
original 340 air cleaner base (don't have top) $30

it does have surface rust from sitting. If you look closely you can see it has new freeze out plugs and cam bearings. It was bought from a machine shop by the previous owner. unfortunately it was not oiled down when stored. All that would have to be done is take it to a machine shop and put it in the tumbler and the block would look like new. Also a good honing would help too. As as far as I know the block is good. I don't think somebody would have started putting money into it if it wasn't. I could get it cleaned up and checked for cracks but the price would go up considerably. it is a 73' block.
