440 advice
I am new to the forum and am looking for some advice. I am starting to think about owning an old mopar. I have not really decided what I want to do but I am interested in taking my time. I currently have nothing except garage space, a small amount of knowledge but alot of desire.
Anyways, I have found a 440 that I am interested in buying and having rebuilt to factory standards but i thought I would post the add and see if it is as good a deal as I think. I would like to get the engine redone and then look for something to put it into.
Here is the add:
i have a 1970 dated 440 motor. prolly would have come in a 71 car. i forget the entire date code ill have to look at it tomorrow. valve covers, heads, pistons, crank, oil pan, all there. no intake. i even have a spare set of 440 steel rods i may throw in. looking for 500 obo or trade for a snowmobile trailer.
I appreciate any advice I can get.
Thanks
joe

if its a 1970 motor or even up to a 71 its worth the money if it hasn't been setting out doors for the rain & bad weather to get into it but always use caution when buying something and look it over to make sure but you can make that engine into a good one ...... let us no if you get it see if you can get the numbers off the block for us to check

Thanks,
I did ask for the seller to send me the codes off the block. I will try and post them along with pictures that he sends when I get them. I thought this did not sound like a bad deal.
I plan on matching it up with the correct date coded Cuda, or Challenger.
