440 engine block Identification

440 engine block Identification

I am working on a 440 block, supposed to be 1972 year, the serial number is strange and I can't find it in any of the books. Anyone one know how to decipher it?

That looks like a I.H.C. Number..... Internation Havester / Dresser Equipment.

Whats it say up on the pad next to the distributor?

Check along the oil Pan Rail for another number....
No Other casting numbers?????
