440 new yorker more power
Hello,
I'm new to this site so please be patient w/me! I've just purchased my first Mopar which is a 1966 New Yorker w/440 and 727. It was a littlte old ladys car that just turned 75k original miles! It's all stock and very much in great condition just little minor things! Anyways I would like for this to be my stock little sleeper w/some added horsepower! Any suggestions would be appreciated! What kind of intake as I see many online like Torker, SP-2, streetmaster, performer, etc? Also what size carb should I go with? What kind of cam should I put w/this setup and last but not least hedder exhaust combo tips! I thank you all for your input in advance!! Also what is my body category A B C and what's the diff. between RB and BB when it comes to the engines? Thanks again!!
Thanks Heminez

When I got my first 440 car I started at the back end, changed the gear ratio to a 3:55 or 4:10. Then to the trans. I pulled the pan and checked the way the bands and pan looked. Did a presure check on the trans . All was good so I put a B&M shift kit in it and later I built up the trans to HEMI /440 six pack specs. . Then the cooling got a once over . Did a cylinder leakage test that was pretty good . At the time a Purple Shaft with new valve springs and lifters a torker manifold and 750 Holley DFDP. I also changed the ignition to the mopar proformance electronic ignition. Headers . Dont forget the Mopar Valve covers.
