My car has the factory thermostat housing. I need to replace it. The current ones don't look the same. They don't have the ball slant neck.

Do the new style ones fit if I have factory a/c? Do I need to get a different size upper hose? I measured the one I took off the car (from the 70s).

Wish I had that part # when I ordered all the other stuff from Rock Auto on Monday. It's still cheaper than everyplace else though. A few more days and my blue baby will be able to get to the a/c repair shop.

I love that in SoCal there are still tons of old school real mechanics not just part swappers.
