Can anybody help me. I have a 66 satellite its original. I believe it to be a 318 poly motor.my question is this is there 3 types of 727 trannys because summit racing said the poly engine is a big block. what will bolt to my existing tranny will a reg 318 340 or 360 bolt to tranny thats bolted to the poly 318. Im debating what to put in car I thought i would leave the tranny in and keep it a small block but dont know what will bolt to it.The poly appears wider than a standard 318. I know a 440 or 383 has a big 727 and a small block has the smaller 727 what does a 318 poly have.Thanks for any help

 

I do not believe a LA engine trans will bolt to a poly.
