Does any one know if the transmission from 1967 Dart w/225 will work with a 318 engine from a 1967 Dart?

Would you happen to know if the torque converter from the 225 trans. will work in the 727?

 

i'm not sure about the fit but the stall speed will be wrong. you might try stopping at a transmission rebuilder.

 

Thanks for the advice, I did talk to two different shops and neither could tell me one way or the other. One of the shops mentioned this forum, hence my new membership.
But its all good, the guy I bought the 727 from found the torque converter in his garage and included it in the sale. Now the fun begins.

as i brush off the cob webs.....

there were some 6 cyl. 727 transmissions used mostly in taxi cabs. try getting some numbers off the transmission and see if someone can identify what it came out of.

 

get the numbers to see what it came out of and what it came with stock

 

Our new home is in escrow and we will be moving soon, when the new garage is up and running we'll dive back in.
So for now my 17 year old son is still driving around with the /6.
I'll post later on as we progress.
