727 Bolt Pattern

New to the forum so I hope this is the place to post. I searched the threads and couldn't find what I needed so I'm hoping that you folks can help. I recently purchased a 69 Barracuda that doesn't have the original motor so I am planning on dropping in a 340 w/a 727. I know there is a large and small block bolt pattern, what I would like to know is the 727 case one piece or is it two pieces where the bell housing section bolts on and can be switched for the sb? If it is a bolt on do I need to change the input shaft also or just change the bell housing? I've got a good deal on a rebuilt 727 w/no miles, but it is was bolted to a bb. This is my first Mopar in over 35 years so I don't have a lot of recollection about them any help would greatly be appreciated. Also if I made any errors in posting or anything else please let me know this is my first forum.

Thanks

The 727 transmission houses are all one piece, you can not swap the bellhousings.

Thanks thought that might be the case no pun intended. Guess I'll keep looking.
