727 Conveter help

OK, I have a 1966 727 which has been rebuilt but needes a new converter. I have a 1972 413 which was pulled from a motorhome that had a 727. I kept torque converter from the 413/727 however I am not sure if I can use the torque converter on the 1966 transmission? The 413 has the flex plate. I was told I needed a 090 converter for the 1966 transmission. How do you tell which converter is which. Attached are the photos of the 1972 converter and the 1966 transmission.

Can I pair the these two together without any issues. Any othere thoughts?

I would think not, but if the motors are both internal or external balance it will work. you might want to put a 73 or new part throttle kick down in that 66. It helps a lot with daily driving. I assume the 66 has a 66 big block in it? It will help to have more info.

It should work, you might just need a diff flex plate.

I'd also go with a manual valvebody instead of kickdown linkage..

You need to make sure the converer is balanced for the rotating assbly you are using. The are to my knowledge 3 differant ones.
1. Small Rod Steel crank Small square edged damper
2. Large Rod Steel Crank Large Square Edged Damper
3. Cast Crank. Large Beveled Damper

Thanks for the help

Going to use the 413 with this 1966 transmission - this is the same 413 I pulled it out of with the motor home transmission, so it should all be balanced to the motor, flex plate and balancer etc.... Was concerned, never heard of a 090 converter, but theres a lot I have never heard of, so learned better to ask. I really appreciate all the insight. As for manual valve body and such. Doing this on the cheap, already have more into the 413 and trans than I wanted. I have the kick down that came with the 72 trans, plan on using it - thanks for the insight. And actually this mess - 1972 413, 1975 975 heads, Mopar Purple Cam and 1966 727 are going into a 1967 Belvedere. Attached is a photo of the motor
