Adjusting the front suspension on a B body
a '77 Cordoba to be exact.
I've been told they utilize a Torsion Bar as opposed to a Spring, and that over a period of sitting they can loose there adjustment.
The car in question was sitting in my grandmothers driveway since 1977
it was a DD up until about 1995 when my grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer and eventually passed in 1997. The car sat until last month when we had it towed up to my place where I am going to attempt to get it back to acceptable conditions.
Over the years, the front end began to sag, until there was no more suspension play at all and the front end sat mercifully close to the ground (1-2"). I was told that there was two bolts that adjusted the suspension and they were a big size 3/4-1". Which bolts exactly are these? the ones right at the end of the torsion bars closest to each tire?
To adjust them; Would it be best to hit them with a good lubricating liquid and loosen them and then re-tighten them with the suspension at its fullest extension?
Could someone please point me in the proper direction of how to get this thing off the ground? I need it movable before snowfall.. With the weather up here in Canada.. that could be in a few short weeks
Tia guys.

Anyone? with the car supported on jack stands and being underneath it.. there is nothing physically broken to me.. plus you gotta remember.. this car braved Canadian winters all its life and sat in the same spot for the last 14-15 years.. What can I try with the bars to loosen them up and maybe try resetting them???

It sound like its been sitting a while and rust has set in and probably some other issues. Likely bad calipers and what not. Rusty stuff need big tools, haha. I dont know your skill level, so i dont want to talk down to you, or over your head, or tell you stuff you already know. first, buy a manual for it and read it cover to cover twice. If you are not comfortable, it might be best to take it to a shop for the torsion adjustment and an alignment. Just my opinion, I'm a cheap bastard and hate paying people to do things. But sometimes tools and skills are beyond me and I just want it DONE! Plus, if you screw it up, you are toast. They screw it up, you have recourse!
