anyone have this ignition combo?

Looking at going to a MSD 6AL (#6420) ignition module and a MSD blaster ss (#8207) coil. Has anyone used this combo yet? I just want to make sure this coil will work o.k. with th 6AL. It's going on my 66 Belvy with 360.

Yes....I've heard great things about the MSD ignitions. I'm more concerned about the coils. I was thinking about the msd blaster 2 (#8202), but had read a few crappy reviews, so I was curious about the #8207, and if anyone had tried it yet.

I have the MSD 6a box and the blaster 2 coil in my 440 Dart with no problems. If you want to save money buy the Summit box. It works just as good.

I ran the Blaster 2 coil on my J10 (amc 360)for about 2 years and never had an issue. The key is to keep them away from heat.

Make sure to mount the coil in a vertical position, they are not sealed as well as the older blaster 2 coils. Good luck with the surgery!

Thanks John....I actually ordered the "high vibration" version of the blaster 2.....I think it's not lliquid filled, but I'll probably mount it vertical anyway since I'm moving it to the firewall.

I have them horizontal in the Dart and the Dakota with no leaking problems. I am pretty sure they fixed that issue a long time ago.

On the newer coils,I been seeing different opinions on this,so why take the chance? I also have a blaster 2 coil mounted horizontal too, for the last 12 years it has been fine! So??

Not to hijack the thread, but do you have any time slips for that beautiful dart? I love it!!
